Since 1989 Busselton Hospice Care Incorporated has been supporting and advocating for the best possible end of life care for those in our community.
Our long-standing partnerships with the local community and the WA Country Health Service has raised the profile of care of the dying, end of life issues, palliative care and bereavement in this region. The community has embraced the care of the dying because it understands that families and individuals can find these experiences to be isolating and overwhelming.
Busselton Hospice Care Incorporated supports care of our dying and those receiving palliative care through the recruitment, training and management of professionally trained palliative care volunteers working in Busselton Health Campus’s Hospice Unit and the Bereavement support and Complementary therapy programs at the original Hospice building, now called the Geographe Bay Centre. Our programs meet the national standards for palliative care and volunteering.
Busselton Hospice Care Incorporated relies 100% on funding received from community donations and fundraising events to support our programs. In return, our services are provided free of charge, without service caps and regardless of people’s palliative diagnosis. We do not receive any government funding or grants to sustain our service.
