Medical Mission Aid (MMA) is a Christian charity whose vision is to see a sustainable improvement in health outcomes in the most vulnerable communities globally.
Our key strategic objective is to enable local community-led transformation in healthcare in remote and vulnerable communities. We do this by increasing the quality and quantity of trained local medical staff in developing countries through medical, nursing and allied health scholarships for disadvantaged students. We also assist in the procurement of equipment and medication to enable local healthcare providers to improve medical care for the impoverished. Additionally, MMA equips local organisations to implement preventative health initiatives, thereby reducing the overall burden of disease.
