Fundraising with Entertainment
The Townsville Ovarian Cancer Team is local ladies affected by ovarian cancer, the ladies are supported by their loved ones and a group of dedicated individuals who understand the importance of funding ovarian cancer research. Ovarian cancer unfortunately has a 5 year survival rate of only 46%. In 2020 the funds raised will go to Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG) for a specific ovarian cancer research grant named after local Townsville lady Janice Mayes. The Janice Mayes Ovarian Cancer Research Grant will aim to fund a new research project for improved treatment options and outcomes for ovarian cancer.
